Review: Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam

Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam

Summer has arrived… and with it greasy, flat hair. Whilst most people can use any dry shampoo, I have a real issue – I’m obsessed with the feeling of freshly washed hair. Thus, I wanted a product that would give me the same results, without using water or leaving behind a powdery residue. After a bit of research, I decided to pick up a bottle of Ouai’s Dry Shampoo Foam. Here is my review.

Since I am on the road pretty frequently, I decided to get a travel-sized version. The product comes in a small metal can with a nozzle that dispenses the formula. The white and blue packaging definitely gives off a luxe vibe. The directions for use and ingredients are printed on the back of the bottle.

Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam

Honestly, I was most excited about the foam formula. The lightweight and fluffy consistency feels more like a mousse than a standard powdered dry shampoo. As instructed, I used a ping-pong ball sized amount and massaged the foam into the roots of my hair for about a minute. Although the formula went on white, it soon dried down invisibly, without leaving behind a sticky or noticeable residue. Whilst I love the scent of every Ouai product I’ve tried, I especially appreciate the fresh fragrance of this one.

I’ve been using this dry shampoo for weeks now and have been obsessed with the results it provides. Not only does it sop up any grease, but also adds a touch of volume and hold to my strands. The best part is that my hair not only looks clean but actually feels refreshed. This formula works best on second-day hair, but if you’ve got very oily roots, you may need a more powerful dry shampoo.

Weightless, invisible and oil-absorbing, this foamy formula is perfect for summer. I’ve already added a few more bottles to my cart so that I’m never left in a lurch!
