Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil
You know a product is special when everyone around you uses it! Last week, when I was getting ready with a couple of friends, all of them were filling in their brows with a cute, silver pencil. Upon further investigation, I realised that the product in question was the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil. Since I’m a sucker for good makeup, I immediately rushed out and got my hands on it. Here is my review of the shade ‘4.5’.

The product comes in a metallic packaging with pink lettering. One end holds an angled tip with the formula, whilst the other has a spoolie brush to blend in the colour. The twist-up format ensures that you don’t waste any product by sharpening it. The shade name and directions for use are mentioned on the accompanying box.

Although the packaging is great, the product really shines when it comes to the formula. The slightly waxy texture allows the colour to glide on to your brows, with minimal effort and dries instantly to give a matte finish. The slanted tip makes it easy to fill in your brows with light strokes, whilst the spoolie buffs in the formula well. ‘4.5’ is a neutral-toned, dark brown hue that works great for those with brown and black hair. The shade is quite pigmented so I usually go over my brows just once, but the formula layers well so you can build the colour up to get more intensity.

I’ve been using this pencil for weeks now and have been thrilled with the results. Unlike several brow formulas, this one leaves me with natural-looking and fluffy brows. The shade stays put for over 6 hours, even on the most humid of days, without fading or smudging.
Long lasting, pigmented and easy to use, this chic pencil is worth every penny. Since it comes in a whopping 12 shades, including grey, it will pretty much work for everyone!
