Review: Nudestix All Over Face Color in ‘Naughty N’ Spice’

Nudestix All Over Face Color in ‘Naughty N’ Spice’

Is there a better time for multi-tasking makeup? I don’t think so! While many of us have been going barefaced, there are certain occasions (family events, business meetings and days when you just feel like glamming up for no reason) that call for makeup. For such times, I decided to pick up a tube of the Nudestix All Over Face Color in ‘Naughty N’ Spice’. Here is my review.

Like all the products from the brand, this one too comes in an embossed metal box, which has a mirror on the inside. The product itself is packaged as a sleek, dual-ended tube. One side contains the formula, which can be twisted up to use, while the other features a blending brush. Apart from the easy functionality, I really appreciate the fact that the brush can be taken off so that you can clean it properly. The exact shade name is printed on the colour band and on a sticker beneath the tube.

On the formula front, this was quite a delight to use. The creamy consistency allows the colour to glide on smoothly on to my cheeks and lids, without tugging at my skin. However, it did catch on to the dry patches of my lips. While you can use a brush to apply and blend it in, I find that it melts in quite seamlessly when I use my fingers. ‘Naughty N’ Spice’ is a dusty rose hue with a semi-matte finish. The formula is also quite buildable, so you can sheer it out or add more for intensity. On my cheeks and lips, I use 2 dabs to get a flush of colour but require at least 3 coats on my lids as they are more pigmented than the rest of my face.

I’ve been wearing this shade for a few weeks now and have been pretty impressed. The colour stays put for about 5 hours on my skin and then begins to fade. If you have oily skin or lids, I would recommend using a primer to elongate the wear. On my lips, it stays true for about 2 hours. However, it won’t hold up during a meal.

All in all, this is a good product for those who want a quick hint of colour. I’m not a fan of it as a lipstick, but love how it looks on my cheeks and lids. I can definitely see myself travelling with it in the future since it does so much!
