Review: Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer

You know how you always have that one friend who quietly supports you without asking for anything in return? That’s exactly who Bumble and bumble’s Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer is for me. I’ve been using this product for years now, but I just realised that I haven’t done a full review of it yet! So without further ado, here are my thoughts on this product.

Described as a pre-styler, this product comes packaged in a white plastic bottle with a neon orange print. The attached nozzle dispenses a fine mist and doesn’t cause any leakage issues. The ingredients and directions for use and printed on the back of the bottle.

On the formula front, there’s absolutely nothing to fault! Although the product is milky white in the bottle, it dries down invisibly once it’s sprayed on. Unlike other styling products, this formula doesn’t weigh hair down or leave behind a sticky residue. Another major plus point of the product is the fragrance. Since it contains a blend of 6 oils, it smells like a sweet, tropical dream.

I’ve used this product in a multitude of ways and have always been blown away by the results. As a heat primer, it works wonderfully to protect my locks from flat irons and hair dryers, whilst delivering a smooth and glossy finish to my strands. On dry hair, the formula instantly tamps down on frizz and softens my crunchy locks. The best way for me, however, is to spritz a liberal amount on to my damp hair and let it air-dry. Every time I do this, I notice that my wavy strands look shinier, more defined and less frizzy.

Nourishing, weightless and multi-tasking, this primer is a must for every beauty kit. I actually have stocked up on the travel-sized version of this product so that I’m never stranded without it!
