Review: Bobbi Brown Corrector In ‘Deep Peach’

Bobbi Brown Corrector In ‘Deep Peach’

I’ll get straight to it – my dark circles have officially taken permanent residence on my face. I don’t know whether they are caused by all the hours spent in front of my laptop or by a particularly persistent bout of allergies, but either way, the area under my eyes look more like dark craters than skin. Since my regular concealers haven’t been cutting it, I thought that it was time to dabble with a colour corrector. Here is my review of the Bobbi Brown Corrector in ‘Deep Peach’.

The product comes in a tiny, round container with a mirror inside. The sleek black packaging bears the brand’s name on it and fits right in with the rest of the product line. Since I travel quite frequently, I was happy to note that the product had a plastic exterior and closed with a firm click. The exact shade name is mentioned on a sticker beneath the compact.

On the formula front, this corrector was a winner. The emollient texture helped the product glide smoothly and easily over the delicate under-eye area, without any tugging whatsoever. The formula is thick and creamy in consistency, but blends in seamlessly and can be layered if required. ‘Deep Peach’ is an orange-toned peach hue that works wonders to cancel out brown or purple discolouration. Whilst you can use a brush or sponge to apply it, I prefer patting the formula on with my fingers. The brand suggests applying the formula before concealer; however, I’ve found that it’s enough to just layer a foundation over it.

I’ve been using this corrector for over a month now and could not be happier with the results it provides. Not only does it perfectly camouflage my dark circles, but also subtly brightens up the under-eye area to give me a well-rested look. The formula stays in place for over 6 hours, without creasing. Although it isn’t hydrating, it feels comfortable and weightless on the dry skin beneath my eyes. Those with oily skin may need to set it with a light dusting of translucent powder.

Lightweight, creamy and powerful, this corrector is ideal for those who are plagued with dark circles or pigmentation. Whilst it is expensive for the amount provided (1.4g), the product will last for ages as a little really does go a long way!

Price: USD 28.00/ INR 2950.00
