When the beauty world is buzzing about a particular brand, you can be sure that the team at Glossip Girl will be ready to try it! If you’ve been following us on Instagram, you will have noticed that we recently acquired a ton of products from the highly acclaimed ColourPop. Since we’ve been on the hunt for a new eyeliner, we decided to test out the Crème Gel Pencil in ‘DTLA’. Here is our review.
The product comes housed in a white, minimalistic stick with silver lettering. Since the liner has a twist-up format, it does not require any sharpening. The shade name is mentioned on the side of the stick and there is a band on the bottom, which signifies the exact colour of the product.
On application, we found that the liner went on fairly smoothly, with a small amount of tugging. However, the soft tip breaks off easily so be careful not to apply too much pressure. The formula also dries down quickly so you need to work fast if you intend to smoke the colour out. ‘DTLA’ is a blackened, navy hue with a very subtle, pearlescent finish. One swipe is enough to draw on an opaque line.
The best part however, is the longevity of this product. The liner stayed put, without any smudging, fading or flaking, for over 8 hours. Unlike several others in the market, this one did not irritate our eyes when worn on the waterline. For those of you with supremely oily lids, a primer may be required.
Intense, long lasting and cruelty-free, this navy liner has wormed its way into our hearts – and makeup bags. The affordable price tag is just the cherry on top!
