The Newest And Most Notable Makeup That I Tried In 2018

I can’t believe that 2018 is drawing to an end! The year literally flew by and was filled with a ton of memorable moments… and some incredible makeup! Instead of doing my usual roundup of the best products I’ve tried till date, I decided to switch things up a bit. Here’s a quick list of the newest and most notable makeup I’ve tried over the last 365 days.

1. Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer In ‘Dirty Baby’

This rock-and-roll nail polish had my heart from the moment I saw it. From the luxe bottle to the glittery, black hue, every inch of this baby is pure perfection.

2. Clarins 4-Colour Pen In ‘Harmony 01’

This 4-in-1 pen is what every travel-cum-beauty junkie needs. With 3 shades of eye liner and 1 lip pencil, you can literally have the (makeup) world at your fingertips.

3. It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+ Cream

With its buildable coverage, weightless feel and natural-looking finish, this CC cream is one of the best base products out there. If you’ve got dry, normal or combination skin, you should definitely consider picking up a tube!

4. Pat McGrath LuxeTrance Lipstick In ‘Beautiful Creature’

2018 was the year I finally gave in to all temptation and bought a lipstick from Pat McGrath’s eponymous collection… and it did not disappoint! Buttery, pigmented and utterly gorgeous, this plum hue has rapidly become one of my most used lipsticks.

5. Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow In 'Foil'

For all things sparkly, reflective and eye-catching, this coppery-gold eye shadow should be your #1 pick. Trust me when I say that it really creates an impact.

6. Nails Inc. Dirty Unicorn Nail Polish In ‘The Mane Attraction’

Here’s another nail lacquer that I can’t get enough of! The shimmery, deep blue colour shifts to an iridescent pinkish-purple, depending on which light you see it under. That’s what I call true sorcery.

7. Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse In ‘Boom’

Whilst this isn’t the most long lasting lipstick I’ve tried, it’s definitely one of the coolest products I’ve reviewed this year. If you hate the feel of traditional lipsticks, this plush formula will win you over.

8. Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow In ‘Jezebel’

Is it obvious that I’m an eye shadow addict? After trying out Stila’s glitter shadow last year, I had to get my hands on this new iteration… and I’m so thankful that I did! The rose gold hue is flattering on all complexions and wears like a dream.

These amazing finds have got me excited for the year ahead. If you’ve tried and loved any product this year, let me know so that I can get my hands on it too!
