The summer season is just setting in and with it, beach season! Personally, we can’t stop daydreaming about the hot sun, cool waters and sand. However, we know that the beach can wreak havoc on our hair and skin. Here are 3 steps to ensure that you stay happy and healthy this summer!
1. SPF, SPF and more SPF
In case you missed the memo, sunscreen is essential. Opt for a water resistant formula, of SPF 50 or higher. Plus points if you find one that’s non-comedogenic i.e. one that won’t clog up your pores. Remember to reapply every two hours and after you get out of a swim.
2. Balm It
As much as we love the feel of water, it can cause our lips to dry out. Swipe on a coat of lip balm or Vaseline to keep your lips hydrated. Try going for a product with SPF!
Salt in the air and salt in your hair! Shield your tresses from the salty sea with a leave-in conditioner. Not only will it moisturise your locks, but will also keep the knots at bay.
